Book Keeper

Job Description:

Control & Equipment Company has an immediate opening at our El Paso, TX Office for a self-motivated Full-Charge Book keeper with a positive, team-oriented outlook. Responsibilities include:
• Preparing financials
• Managing bank and general ledger reconciliations
• Perform month-end closings
• Tracking assets and depreciation schedules
• Working closely with Operations Manager and CPA
• Process customer credit applications
• Perform AIA Billing
• Process inventory Requirements include:
• 5 years of Full-Charged Bookkeeper experience (construction related bookkeeping preferred)
• Ability to understand and report on financials: profit/loss, balance sheet, general ledger
• Ability to perform bank reconciliations and corresponding entries
• Ability to assist with payroll, taxes, 941’s, W-2’s, W-3, 1099’s
• Ability to track assets and depreciation schedules
• Backup to payroll, A/P and A/R duties
• Ability to assist in research of A/R and A/P issues as needed
• Familiar with sales taxes in New Mexico and Texas
• Familiar with government contracts
• Familiar with certified payroll
• Familiar with Worker’s Comp
• Familiar with Foundations Accounting software preferred
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office: Excel, Word, Outlook
• Ability to easily grasp technology
• Familiar with lien processes preferred Other skills to include:
