Account Manager

Job description:

Control and Equipment Company (CEC) is a Building Automation System contractor, HVAC commercial service contractor and NEBB Certified Test and Balance contractor serving west Texas and New Mexico regions.

What you will do

You will be responsible for the sale of Control and Equipment Company’s service offerings to building owners. You’ll promote the Control and Equipment’s value proposition to building owners by providing technical solutions and operational expertise, all while building and managing long term customer relationships/partnerships with both target and managed accounts. Above all, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest possible level of customer satisfaction. Under the supervision of your manager, you will:

  • Position renewable service agreements as the foundation of managed account relationships.

  • Execute the sales process to cultivate and manage long-term relationships–selling, renewing and expanding HVAC service agreements, including multi-year agreements, to both new and existing customers.

  • Utilize sales tools to plan and document progress, as well as to expand the depth and breadth of Control and Equipment’s offerings within existing account.

  • Build partnering relationships with owner or owner representatives responsible for the decision-making process.

  • Manages the high activity of the pipeline in Salesforce with a focus on sales phase, close date, and probability of a close as well as other pertinent information. Seek out, qualify and close new sales opportunities, on a monthly basis.

You are an active listener, able to probe and identify issues and concerns. You understand your customer and take ownership of issues. You have a knack for solving complex problems in a manner that is imaginative, thorough and practical. Customer service is your priority. Actively establishes a “mentee” relationship with a Sr. Account Executive within the branch to assist with their development as a professional sales person, with the goal of enhancing his or her productivity.

What we look for


  • 3+ years related experience.

  • Excellent initiative and interpersonal communications skills.

  • 2 years progressive field sales experience.

  • Fluent in Spanish and English.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related discipline is preferred.

  • Minimum 1 year experience selling HVAC or building automation systems (service or projects).
